No Longer Strangers

It hurts that there are only 7 days left, because we're no longer strangers and it's hard to say goodbye to friends.

• I'll update the blog soon with stories and photos •

I almost had coffee this morning...

Okay, so technically I did have coffee this morning, but I almost had MORE coffee and a lemon square. But then the possibility of lovely food and drinks were taken away because the line was too long and class was starting. Thus, I still have yet to eat breakfasts, and I don't have a lemon square.

A haiku:

I wanted coffee
I can't finish this haiku

#JesusTakeTheWheel

“Everyone has talent. What's rare is the courage to follow it to the dark places where it leads.”
― Erica Jong

The talent show was one of the most inspiring nights so far. Barbara, Lea, and I were sitting in the audience in tears muttering "Jesus take the wheel" every time someone took the stage. The speeches, songs, and poems were raw and honest.

When Barbara, Lea, and I took the stage we just went all out with our lip syncing band "Bandjammin Franklin". Our rendition of American Idiot, Listen, and One More Time was so fun to perform. We left the stage with huge smiles on our faces, and immediately wanted to perform again. (I didn't end up playing the saxophone, but this performance was so much better).

We literally threw together our performance hours before the show, and it was amazing.
Lastly, enjoy this Lea and Kayla selfie xx

Junto Club and other Arguments

“Without contraries is no progression. Attraction and repulsion, reason and energy, love and hate, are necessary to human existence.”
― William Blake

The Junto Club was created by Benjamin Franklin as way for men to have meaningful conversations with their peers about current events. Thankfully, women are now invited to participate. The actual conversations were extremely heated with different opinions on what it means to have "pride in your country", which led to several other conversations and topics.

The actual pictures from the club included strained faces and tight expressions, so instead enjoy this selfie of Barbara (Slovakia) and me.

But first...

“Like Alexander the Great and Caesar, I’m out to conquer the world. But first I have to stop at Walmart and pick up some supplies.
”
― Jarod KintzThe Titanic would never have sunk if it were made out of a sink.

This picture was only possible after an hour long trip to Walmart. Apparently, Europeans really love Walmart. The shopping the list of the day had some interesting products:

1. Light up balloon
2. A months supply of Oreos
3. Lots of hangers (which were not included in our closets)
4. Lots of water bottles (the weather is slightly warm ;)
5. Fire works that were left in the parking lot, because Indiana bus drivers aren't fans of carrying them on buses

There will be more soon. Goodnight xx
